Details
The Loss of the Burying Ground follows Cora, the daughter of a Duran newspaper man, and Vivienne, a lady's maid to an Ariminthian princess, two teenage girls who survive the sinking of the Burying Ground in neutral waters. The ship's destruction also claims the delegations from the two warring nations, along with the peace treaty they were about to sign. Stranded on a remote island, Cora and Vivienne must overcome their deep-rooted national loyalties and learn to trust each other in order to survive, avoid pirates, and secure rescue. Amid the backdrop of war, propaganda, and radicalization, the girls face the difficult challenge of finding common ground. As their rescue becomes a potential catalyst for further conflict, Cora and Vivienne discover their shared desire for peace, but time may be running out to make a difference.
