Our Story
About Vernon Library Supplies
Vernon Library Supplies, Inc.was established in 1973 by Anthony (Tony) G. Vernon. In the beginning and for more than a decade following, Tony utilized his creative engineering skills to manufacture specialty products that were sold by various library supply catalog houses in the U.S. and around the world.
In 1984, the company was purchased by Shai (pronounced "shy"--but he's not) Robkin, who had returned to his native Atlanta following a number of years operating, together with his wife Judy, a bookstore in Jerusalem, Israel.
Vernon's new owner discovered that a book could indeed be judged by its cover (and spine label, bar code, hinge reinforcement, pocket, security tag, etc, etc.).
Over the last three decades, our company has greatly expanded its manufacturing capacity while developing a loyal customer base comprised not only of resellers/distributors, but also of end-user libraries. In addition to those items manufactured in-house, Vernon has added hundreds of other product lines as part of its effort to become a complete source for cost conscious buyers. You can purchase from Vernon with the confidence of knowing that you will receive maximum value for your money.
