Olivetti

Olivetti is a heartfelt and whimsical story about an old typewriter, Olivetti, whose life has been overshadowed by the newer, more modern technology that replaced him. Once cherished by the Brindle family, he now sits forgotten, observing the life of 12-year-old Ernest, who prefers his collection of Oxford English Dictionaries over the chaotic world around him. Despite his silence, Olivetti retains the memories of every word ever typed on him, a quiet keeper of the past.

When Beatrice, the Brindles' mother, unexpectedly drops Olivetti off at a pawn shop, the typewriter is left abandoned and forgotten. But soon, Beatrice disappears, and Olivetti breaks the "typewriterly code" by typing a message to Ernest, revealing hidden memories about her. This act of defiance sets Ernest and Olivetti on a journey across San Francisco to uncover clues about Beatrice's disappearance. Along the way, they face challenges, confront the family's buried past, and learn about themselves and each other.
