Middle School: Winter Blunderland

The invitation comes from animal expert Dr Deerwin - an all-expense paid trip to Alaska. Rafe first met her and her daughter Penelope while working in a zoo. The mere thought of hanging out with Penelope again, influences his answer by text. YES! YES! YES! Off to Alaska they travel and Rafe begins his adventure in the freezing tundra! When they land in the middle of nothing and nowhere, there is no sounds, no wildlife, no sunlight, it's bitter cold, and that's just the beginning. Rafe must deal with polar bear caves, fleeing a ruthless poacher's hideout and helping a whale facing a whaler's harpoon. He might get a little homesick, lost, embarrassed and colder that a popsicle left in the freezer for a year, but he wouldn't have missed it for the world.
