Better Than the Movies

Better Than the Movies by Lynn Painter is a romantic comedy about Liz Buxbaum, a hopeless romantic who has been daydreaming about her forever crush, Michael, since childhood. When Michael moves back to town, Liz is determined to win his heart, even if it means teaming up with her annoying next-door neighbor, Wes Bennet. Wes, who has been a source of childhood pranks and frustration, now seems to be the key to getting Michael's attention. However, as Liz and Wes scheme together, she starts to see a side of him that challenges her notions of love and happily-ever-after.
