A Tale of Magic

"A Tale of Magic" by Chris Colfer follows the story of Brystal Evergreen, a young girl who uncovers a hidden section of her local library and discovers a book that opens her eyes to the magical world around her. Brystal learns that she is a fairy with the ability to perform magic, an act that is illegal in the Southern Kingdom, where women are prohibited from reading and magic is outlawed. After being caught, she is sentenced to the Bootstrap Correctional Facility.

However, Brystal's life takes a dramatic turn when she is rescued by the enigmatic Madame Weatherberry and taken to a secret academy for magical education. At the academy, Brystal begins to hone her magical skills, but trouble soon arises. Madame Weatherberry is called away on urgent business and disappears, leaving Brystal and her classmates to uncover a dangerous plot that threatens the fate of magic itself. As Brystal and her friends race against time, they must confront dark forces that could change the world forever.
